What is podcasting ? FailCast is the Fail monthly podcast. It's basically a mix that is available in MP3 format. A new mix should be published once a month, but in reality happens when I get the time! Podcasting lets you automatically receive the latest episode as soon as it's available. You need to 'subscribe' to receive a podcast, rather like you might subscribe to a magazine and get it delivered each week. The podcast's are free and you can 'unsubscribe' at any time. In order to sign up for a podcast you need a piece of podcast software which is usually available free of charge. This software can check for new episodes and automatically download them for you. The most popular podcasting programs are: Apple iTunes is by far the most popular program for managing podcasts and the way you add FailCast to iTunes is:
- Open iTunes, make sure your Internet connection is working.
- Select 'Advanced' from the menu bar
- Select 'Subscribe to Podcast...'
- In the window type in http://www.failme.net/failcast/index.xml and click OK
- That's it! You're subscribed. The latest episode will start to download and soon you'll be able to hear the podcast.
