Terrence Dixon: From The Far Future Part 2 LP (Tresor) Yeah he's from Detroit and he's black, so its bound to be ace, yeah? It's that kind of enigmatic, slickly-produced techno that's cloaked in concepts and ideas. Personally I toss all of that out and just enjoy the expected aesthetic that comes with the genre. It's not ground-breaking but I don't wish it to be. This is pretty much how I want my techno to sound, now and forever.

Whilst the CD version is radically different (sharing only 4 tracks between both formats) I still prefer the dancefloor-orientated 8-track vinyl version. The salsa shuffle of 'Horizons' evokes Derrick May at his funkiest and is my personal highlight. '11th Floor' is dank Kreuzberg generated four four. Best thing on Tresor in ages too.
