Dean Blunt & Inga Copeland: Black Is Beautiful LP (Hyperdub) Thought I had sussed this lot out, but I can't get my head around this severely mangled record. Ask me again in a years time, yeah? Track 5 is boss though.

Claro Intelecto: Reform Club LP (Delsin) On the surface it seems like another exercise in propulsive driving dub techno. Cliched with moody artwork and minimalist exuberance. But it took several attempts before the subtleties of this album made their presence known. Grand orchestral gestures seem to be motif of the album here, which works nicely against the granular low-end and natty drum workouts. In other words, a techno long-player that actually works.
